Frequently Asked Questions:

 

Q: How should I register for the race?
A: Go to the Race home page and look on the left side of the page. Click on the Register button.

Q: Is there medical staff on site?
A: Yes, the Zumbrota Ambulance and medics will be on hand in case of emergency

Q: Do I have to be present for awards and door prizes?
A: Yes, you must be present to win.

Q: If I am unable to race, can I get a refund?
A: We do not issue refunds for any reason.  If you are unable to race or attend, you may have a friend or family member pick up your participant t-shirt and any swag for the race.  Finisher medals will only be given to those who cross the finish line.

 

Q. When does Registration close?
A. On-line Registration closes on Wednesday June 13, 2018 at 10:00pm. Restration will be available the day of the race.

 

Q: What are the prices?

A: Half Marathon $50 until Dec 31st, $55 until May 26th, after May 26th price will be $60

10K $30 until December 31st, $35 until May 26th, after May 26th price will be $40

5K $20 until December 31st, $25 until May 26th, after 26th price will be $30

 

Q. Is there a time limit for the Half Marathon and 5K/10K?  Are they considered "Walker Friendly"? 
A. The 5K, 10K and Half Marathon runs are considered "Walker Friendly". The Half Marathon course will be open for 4 hours and the official race timing will be active until 11 a.m. Saturday morning. This is just over an 18:00 minute per mile pace for the Half Marathon.  If you can walk 13.1 miles in 4 hours, you will receive an official time for the half marathon. 

Q. What can I do while my friend or family member is running the race?

A. There are many places along the course where you can cheer on your friends and family. Check out the course maps to find a spot. The Zumbrota covered bridge festival will be going on the day of the race. There will be many activities going on throught the city. 


Q. Once I'm registered, can I switch races?
A. Hopefully you will enjoy running the race you registered for. If a switch needs to be made please contact glen@tandhtiming.com by Monday, June 11, 2018 at 10:00pm.

Q. What happens if it is really hot or rainy on the day of the race?
A. The 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon events will be run rain or shine, but the safety and health of our runners is our first priority. In case of inclement weather - for example, lightning is present or the heat index is dangerously high - the race will be delayed or postponed.  Notification will be made via email or facebook page.  

 

Q. Are headphones and iPods allowed on the course?
A. Whle strongly discouraged, portable listening devices will be allowed on the course.  We ask that you please remember you are sharing the road with other runners and in some cases vehicles.  Always be aware of your surroundings.


Q. Are strollers allowed on the course?
A. Strollers are NOT allowed on the Half Marathon course. They are permitted on the 5K/10K  

 

Q. Where should I put my bib number?
A. It is recommended that you pin your bib number onto the front of your shirt or shorts and keep it visible during the race.


Q. How does chip timing work?
A. You will receive a lightweight, souvenir chip in your race packet that uniquiely identifies you.  You are required to connect it to your shoe using your shoelace or the tie provided.  This chip will be activated once you cross the rubber mat at the starting line and will continue to track your time until you cross the rubber mat at the finish line. Chip timing allows for fast and accurate tabulation of results.
